摘要:
抗战胜利后,以往占据武汉卷烟市场的外资企业英美烟公司由于战时损失惨重一时难以恢复元气,民族企业南洋兄弟烟草公司虽竭力恢复生产,但短期内也很难达到战前水平。随之出现的市场缺口一方面导致了湖北省外的烟草公司积极在汉开设分厂抢占市场份额,另一方面武汉本地的中小烟厂也在大型烟厂的夹缝中迅速崛起,武汉机制卷烟行业呈现出"三足鼎立"的态势。然而由于局势动荡、过度商业化的影响和其它各种原因,在经过如昙花般夹缝中的短暂繁荣后,武汉中小烟厂很快就陷入了发展的困境。
Abstract:
The paper sets out to review on the development of SMS tobacco companies in Wuhan around 1945. Af— ter the Sino-Japanese war (1937-1945), the British and American tobacco companies which used to dominate the to— bacco market of Wuhan city suffered from great loss and could hardly recover. At the same time, the native tobacco companies like Nanyang Brother could not recover their capacity despite their great effort. Seeing the great shortage of supply of tobacco in Wuhan market, many tobaccos companies entered Wuhan from other provinces. They set up facto— ries and tried their best to take up market share. Meanwhile, some native small and medium-sized tobacco companies of Wuhan rise rapidly, managed to survive and became one of three powers in the market. However, owing to the tur— bulent political environment, impact of over-commercialization and many other influences, the SMS tobacco companies were soon trapped into predicament of development after transient prosperity.
