摘要:
亲属称谓及其泛化现象是社会交往中的一项重要内容，外部交往和世界交往容易产生跨文化交际，来自不同文化背景的人进行交际时，不得体的亲属称谓会造成误解，甚至冲突。通过对比汉语和泰语亲属称谓及其泛化系统，揭示两者的差异，指出中国和泰国在跨文化交际时应注意的亲属称谓及其泛化问题，为两国的跨文化交际提供建议。
Abstract:
People from different cultures may address their relatives or family members in different way, which should be given special attention in cross-cultural communication. An improper addressing may cause misunderstanding and embarrassment, even conflict. The paper sets out to reveal the differences between Chinese and Thai in their ways of referring to family members or relatives and their generalization system. It summarizes points worth attention in intercultural communication with Chinese or Thai.
